Manor House and Animal Museum Open:
Weekdays (Except Fridays): 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Weekends: 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Admission Fees - $5.00 adults / $4.00 seniors/students / $3.00 children 2-12 and FREE for members.
½ price for Town of Greenburgh residents with a Unicard / ½ price with a Westchester County Park Pass

Internship Opportunity

The Greenburgh Nature Center offers two six-month internships annually - one January through June and one July through December. We are a small educational facility located in a suburb only 40 minutes north of New York City. Our Center has a live animal museum, two exhibit rooms and walking trails on the surrounding 33-acre property. The primary role of the intern is to teach nature and animal programs to children between the ages of 2-8. The intern will also assist in the care and maintenance of the animals and their facilities, and help supervise the activities of our high school volunteers. We provide training for our nature education and the care of our animals.

Qualifications:

Driver's license
No less than 18 years of age
Some experience with children and/or animals
A genuine liking and interest in the environment, children & animals
Willingness to work one weekend day
Must be majoring in a related field (e.g., natural sciences, pre-vet, education, etc.)

Compensation:

$200.00/week plus a furnished room located in the south wing of the Nature Center with adjacent bath. Room has light cooking accommodations (intern may use fully accommodated, common kitchen located in the north wing.), a refrigerator, and a phone with free local calling. Free internet access is also available.

Hours:

9AM - 5PM, Monday-Thursday and one weekend day.

Internship runs January-June and July-December.
